If you've ever turned up to a Tuesday night training session with six balls between eighteen players, you'll know exactly why the Classico Football Bulk Pack is one of our most popular products. Grassroots club coaches, PE departments, holiday camp organisers and parent volunteers all come back to it for the same reason: it puts a ball at every player's feet without the hassle of buying them one at a time.
Whether you're running a mini-soccer session for under-7s or a full-sided training night for your open-age team, here's a closer look at what's in the pack, where it earns its keep, and some simple drills to get the most out of it.
Key features
The Classico Bulk Pack is a set of our Classico footballs, built as a base-level match ball for regular team use across all ages, pitch types and weather conditions. Here's what you get:
- Machine-stitched PVC cover – a durable build designed to cope with heavy training and match use, week in, week out.
- Airlock butyl bladder – helps the ball keep its shape and hold its air, so you're not spending the first ten minutes of every session pumping balls up.
- Packs of 10 or 25 – enough to equip a single squad or a whole club section in one order.
- Sizes 3, 4 and 5 – covering everything from the youngest juniors through to seniors.
- Four colours – Yellow, Pink, Blue and Orange.
- Free ball carrier and mini pump – the carrier holds up to 12 full-size balls, so your pack is ready to use straight out of the box.
Where it gets used
- Club training sessions: one ball per player means more touches, less queuing and far fewer bored players at the back of a line.
- PE lessons: schools can run whole-class technique work without children waiting their turn, and the all-conditions build suits outdoor lessons through autumn and winter.
- Matchday warm-ups: a full bag of balls keeps your pre-match routine sharp and lets substitutes keep warm on the touchline.
- Holiday camps and soccer schools: a pack of 25 covers large groups split across several stations at once.
- Kitting out a new team or age group: starting an under-7s side this season? A pack of 10 gives your new squad its own set from day one.
Skills it helps you learn
The biggest benefit of having plenty of balls is simple: more touches per player. Here are five core skills to work on, each with one easy practice you can set up in minutes.
1. Ball control and first touch
A good first touch buys a player time and space. It's the foundation of everything else in the game.
Drill – Wall or partner passing: pair players up about 8–10 metres apart, one ball each pair (or one ball each against a wall). Receive, control with one touch out of your feet, then pass back with the second touch. Progress to using the weaker foot, then to receiving across the body.
2. Dribbling and close control
Keeping the ball close under pressure builds confidence, especially in younger players.
Drill – Traffic jam: mark out a grid with cones and give every player a ball. Players dribble around freely, keeping the ball close and avoiding collisions. Call out instructions – "left foot only", "sole of the foot", "change direction!" – to keep heads up and feet busy.
3. Passing accuracy
Short, accurate passing keeps possession and gets the whole team involved.
Drill – Gate passing: set up pairs of cones about a metre apart as "gates" across your area. Pairs of players pass through as many gates as they can in 60 seconds. Use the inside of the foot, and make the gates narrower as players improve.
4. Shooting technique
Striking the ball cleanly is about body shape, planting foot and contact – and it takes lots of repetition.
Drill – Rapid-fire finishing: line up a row of balls on the edge of the area. Players take turns striking each one in quick succession, focusing on keeping their head over the ball and hitting the target rather than blasting it. With a full bag of balls, nobody waits for the ball to be fetched.
5. Teamwork and decision-making
Small-sided games teach players when to pass, when to dribble and how to support a teammate.
Drill – Multi-ball small-sided games: split into 3v3 or 4v4 on small pitches. When the ball goes out, the coach immediately plays a new one in from the carrier. The game never stops, intensity stays high and everyone gets more involvement.
Choosing the right option
The Classico Bulk Pack is available in three ball sizes, two pack sizes and four colours:
- Ball size: Size 3, Size 4 or Size 5. As a general rule, Size 3 is used by the youngest players in mini-soccer, Size 4 by older juniors, and Size 5 by older teenagers and adults – but always check your league's rules for the right size for each age group.
- Pack size: choose 10 balls for a single squad or class, or 25 for a whole club section, school year group or camp.
- Colour: Yellow, Pink, Blue or Orange. Some coaches like to give each age group its own colour so bags don't get mixed up – and brighter colours can be easier to spot on darker winter evenings.
Every pack comes with a free ball carrier and mini pump. Availability of some size and colour combinations can vary, so check the product page for what's in stock right now.
