Returns Policy
Christmas Returns
For all purchases made through Optimum Sport between October 1st and December 31st, the standard returns window has been extended. Customers will have until January 31st to return eligible items.
Returns Policy
In the unlikely event that you are not completely satisfied with any of the products you have brought from Optimum Sport UK you may return unused and unworn goods along with all original packaging and labels within 30 days of receipt for a full refund. Please note we do not offer an exchange service items will need to be returned for a refund and reordered.
RETURNS EXCLUSIONS
The following goods may not be returned for a refund or exchange unless faulty:
- Any worn items.
- Any other items of clothing that are not in their original packaging with labels attached.
We do not cover return postage costs, unless, an error has been made on our behalf. We recommend that you use a reputable courier (e.g. Parcelforce for larger items and Royal Mail for smaller items). We cannot accept responsibility for goods lost in transit without proof of postage. Once we have received your item(s) please allow up to 10 working days for us to process your return. Refunds will be made back to the original payment method used at the time of purchase, please allow up to 3-5 working days for this to appear in your bank.
INTERNATIONAL ORDERS
The buyer is responsible for the return of the goods and cost of return postage, and in case of an exchange, the re-delivery costs.
FAULTY GOODS
For purchases under 30 days from the date of receipt, we will exchange the faulty item at our expense. On returning the items, please include proof of return cost so that we can reimburse this charge.
For purchases over 30 days from the date of receipt but less than 12 months old, please send back the faulty item to the address below, along with a covering letter stating the fault, your order number or actual date of purchase and your daytime contact telephone number. Once received we will inspect the item and repair, replace, offer a like for like replacement or return the item if we feel there has been no manufacturing fault. Any items over that period have been purchased outside of our 12 month policy cannot be accepted.
On returning the items please include proof of return cost so that if the item is found to be faulty, we can reimburse this charge.

Are these gloves good for rugby in the cold?
Yes. They're designed for winter rugby matches and late-night training, with a brushed thermal lining for warmth and an Optimum palm grip that holds the ball in wet, freezing and muddy conditions.
Are Velocity gloves waterproof?
No. They're thermal and block wind-chill, and the grip works in the wet, but they aren't waterproof, so your hands can get wet in heavy rain. If you need fully waterproof gloves, choose our Aqua Waterproof Thermal Gloves.
Will they affect my handling?
No. The minimal-thickness stretch fabric gives a snug, second-skin fit, so you keep your dexterity and reaction times.
Which size should I choose?
Measure straight across your palm, just below the knuckles, not including your thumb, then use the size finder above. Hand widths run from 61 mm (Super Mini) to 100 mm (adult XL). If you're between sizes, choose the larger size.
Can I order gloves for my whole team?
Yes. Choose the sizes you need here, or for larger squad orders use our bulk enquiry form and our team will send a quote. For fully custom club kit, visit Optimum Teamwear, where custom kit takes 4 to 6 weeks.
Can I use them for other sports?
Yes. They're made for rugby, but customers also wear them for football training, hockey and the gym on cold days.
How quickly will they arrive?
Orders placed by 2pm Monday to Friday are dispatched the same day. Standard UK mainland delivery is free on orders over £35 and takes 2–5 working days.
What if they don't fit?
Return them unused and unworn in their original packaging within 30 days of receipt for a full refund, then place a new order for the size you need. Orders placed between 1 October and 31 December can be returned until 31 January.
