Stirling Sevens tournament

In April of this year, a group of final year students from the University of St Andrews formed a team with students from Stirling University to enter the Stirling Sevens tournament. Optimum teamwear department supplied them with their  kit, hence the name they decided upon for their team......"The Optimists". Having played well a few weeks previously in the Ma Bells  sevens tournament held at St Andrews, the team were living upto their name with high hopes for success at Stirling.  They reached the semi finals only narrowly missing out on the final.
