What is IRB approval?

The International Rugby Board (IRB) pre-approves all protective garments for match play, and ensures their padding quality, density and form are all up to standard to ensure safety of players.

How do I know if my protective wear is IRB approved?

All IRB approved garments bear the IRB label with a unique identification number. This IRB tag is usually situated in the neck of tops and inside the lining of headguards. Below are images of the 3 itterations of the IRB approval logo.

What is the difference between Rugby League and Rugby Union edition protective wear?

Rugby League protection tends to have thicker padding throughout (around 15mm). This is because RL editions don’t need to be IRB approved, so aren’t made to the same specifications set by the IRB of 10mm shoulders and 5mm everywhere else. Apart from the padding, the Rugby League and Union tops are made to the same specifications.

PAYMENT

What types of payment do you accept?

We accept all major forms of credit/debit cards, these include Visa, Visa Debit, Master Card and Maestro. We also accept PayPal payments.

Can I use promo codes?

Yes, our website is setup to accept promo codes and these can be entered at the checkout. Please ensure you check the promo code is valid and all terms are met, if you enter a code and its terms are invalid, you will receive an onscreen prompt telling you why. Some codes are single use only; if they have been used previously they cannot be reused.

My promo code doesn’t work, what should I do?

First, check that your basket qualifies for the terms of the code and is applicable. Also check that the promo code is in date. If you believe there is an error with your discount code, or you’re having trouble redeeming, please contact us.

Can I checkout with PayPal?

Our website is setup to accept PayPal as a form of payment, for total piece of mind and a faster checkout experience. If you don’t have a PayPal account, you will first need to go to the PayPal website and setup an account before you can use it as a form of payment.

DELIVERY

What UK delivery services do you offer?

We offer standard and expedited delivery services. Standard delivery takes around 1-2 days for delivery and expedited is guaranteed next day delivery. For more info, see Delivery & Refunds.

What international delivery services do you offer?

We delivery parcels worldwide, using Royal Mail airmail services. If you need express services, please contact us and we will provide a quote from one of our carriers.

What should I do if I've not received my order?

Firstly, check your tracking information online. You can find out your tracking number from your dispatch notification email, alternatively look in your order history under My Account.

How does your Click & Collect Service work?

Once your order is placed online and you choose Click & Collect, your order will be sent down to warehousing where your order will be picked ready for collection, for a quick and easy collection. Please allow 1 working hour for your order to be processed before collecting your order. For more info, see Delivery & Refunds.

Can I track my order?

Tracking information will be provided in despatch notification emails and under your order history. Tracking info can then be entered into the carrier’s website and tracked online.

RETURNS

What is your returns policy?

Unworn, unwashed, in original condition and with all tags still attached. We reserve the right to refuse returns. Your statutory rights are not affected. If you have received a faulty item, or your product has developed a fault, please contact us.

How do I return my order?

Please return all original packaging where applicable. Orders can be returned to our head office and must be directed to our returns department. Our full returns address is: FAO Returns Dept., Optimum Sport, 26-28 Cinnamon Brow, Makerfield Way, Ince, Wigan, Lancs, WN2 2PR.
